NSCDC discovers six teenage sex hawkers in Gombe
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State command on Tuesday, paraded six teenage sex hawkers rescued from a joint.
Our correspondent reports that those paraded are within 16 and 19 years of age, they hustled around mile three meluku area.
Parading the suspects, Commandant, Waziri Goni, revealed that the teenagers were from neighbouring states to include; Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno and Plateau.
According to him, his men rescued the teenagers in the night at Gidan Solo, after useful information by some residents within the area.
Goni said two of the operators of the facility have been arrested and charged to court, adding that the command had waited in vain for their parents to show up.
Goni said, “Is a pity none of their parents have shown up at least for them.
“These are promising youths wasting away with no certain future.”
The Commandant pleaded with parents to ensure strict monitoring of their wards to avoid breeding of future criminals, adding that the likes of the girls harbour criminals.
Also speaking the duo of Aisha Umar from Bauchi and Faizah Muhammed from Gombe States said they were involved in commercial sex work, stressing that it has been rewarding.
According to Mohammed, “I charge between N15,000 and N25,000 for home services.”
However, owner of Rocket hotel Love Samuel, who was also paraded said she was unaware of the illicit act perpetrated in her premises,adding that she let out the structure on rent to the two sponsors.
