Zakari Garba Zakari clinches ADC Reps ticket in Bauchi
A foremost youth leader and former Director of Mobilisation of African Democratic Party (ADC), Zakari Garba Zakari, on Friday clinched House of Representatives ticket to represent Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency of Bauchi State.
According to a result sheet obtained by Periscope Nigeria, Zakari emerged by consensus as attested to through signatures by Sabiu Shuaibu Chairman of the electoral committee and Secretary Saleh Illiya.
The candidate of the ADC who is from Burra ward is expected to slug it out with candidates of other major political parties in the 2023 general election.
Zakari who is one of the proponents of Kingsley Moghalu for president holds the title of Yeriman Matasa Gamji due to his contributions to the emancipation youths.
Our correspondent reports that the 25-year old politician, has an experience in politics that spans for over 15 years.
- Participation in late President Yar’adua’s movement, where he served as the National coordinator for Good Governance.
- Participation in President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s movement where Zakari, served as the national Chairman Youth for Ebele 2011
- Took part in President Muhammadu Buhari’s movement as the Director Media Buhari support organisation BSO in 2014.
- In 2014 he was the national Chairman Buhari Youth Organisation (BYO), while in 2019 when the party was very strong and the movement was tough he was served as the Director Media Buhari support Organisation.
- Served at the National level which as Public relation officer (PRO) Women and Youth Presidential campaign.
