As condolence continues to pour over Gombe Gov’s sister demise

The Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya who lost his sister Hajiya Aishatu Yahaya Umaru on 17th July, 2022, aged 48, in Gombe after a protracted illness, has continued to receive condolence visits from Nigerians who came to comfort him over the loss of his sister.
Since the demise of Hajiya Aishatu Yahaya Umaru, Nigerians from all walks of life have been trooping to Gombe and Abuja residence of the Governor to condole him and entire dynasty of Yahaya Umaru’s family.

Apart from his Counterpart Governors, Senators, Ministers, Chief Executive Officers of Agencies and Organisations, Traditional Rulers, Religious Leaders, Politicians of various cadres, women Groups and organisations, members of Gombe State Executive Council, APC chieftains, Youths, students, politicians from other political Parties and the members of the public to show their solidarity to the Governor and also to comfort him for the irreparable loss of his sister.

Among the prominent Nigerians was the Founder and President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote who paid him a condolence visit.
The business magnate and Africa’s richest man who was at the Gombe Governor’s lodge, Asokoro, conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Inuwa Yahaya and through him, the entire members of the bereaved family.

He urged them to take solace in the fact that “To Allah belongs what He takes, and to Him belongs what He gives, and for everything He sets a specific term. So we should have patience and seek the reward from Allah.”

Also, the former Governor of Gombe state and now serving Senator, Senator Mohammed Danjuma Goje was one of early guests that personally flew in from Abuja to Gombe to convey his heartfelt condolences, comforting the Governor and the entire family over the demise of Hajiya Aishatu Yahaya Umaru praying to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her paradise, while the Yobe State Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni was at the Gombe State Governor’s lodge, Abuja, describing the demise of Governor Inuwa’s younger sister, Hajiya Aishatu Yahaya as a great loss, not only to her immediate family but the government and people of Gombe state.
“late sister died at a time when her good and wise counselling are needed, but that is the wish of Almighty Allah our creator”, he prayed Almighty Allah to repose her soul, grant her Aljannat Firdaus and give the family, government and people of Gombe state, the fortitude to bear the loss.
Meanwhile, the funeral prayer for the deceased took place at the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe and was led by the State Grand Khadi, Gombe State Shariah Court of Appeal, Hon. Khadi Abdullahi Maikano Usman and thousands of sympathisers joined Yahaya and his family members during the funeral prayer; including Traditional rulers, topnotch politicians, Heads of Security Agencies, Commissioners, Special Advisers, Local Government Chairmen among others.
According to Director-General of Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe, Ismalia Uba Missili, the Mai Kaltungo, Engineer Saleh Muhammad, who is also the Deputy Chairman of Gombe State Council of Emirs and Chiefs led retinue of Royal fathers, including the Mai Tangle, Malam Danladi Sanusi Maiyamba, Folo Dadiya, Alhaji AbdulKadir Galadima, Lamido Akko, Alhaji Umar Muhammad Atiku, Mai Tula Abubakar Atare Buba, District Heads among others were in attendance.
It will recalled that in attendance were the State APC Chairman, Mr. Nitte Amangal, former member representing Billiri/ Balanga Federal Constituency, Hon. Ali Isa JC and his colleague from Plateau State, Hon. Timothy Golu .
While the Governor also led the deceased’s husband, Alhaji AbdulKadir Dankasa, other bereaved family members and sympathisers to accompany the remains of the late Hajiya Aishatu to her final resting place at the Gombe- Bajoga road cemetery.
