CBN RIFAN Gombe Special Project Coordinator commends farmers support
The Gombe CBN-RIFAN Special Project under the leadership of its able Coordinator Alh. Abubakar Bello, says dry season recovery has commenced with full support and cooperation from farmers.
Speaking during the harvest recovery at Difa, the recovery Chairman noted with delight the cooperation of the farmers, adding that the Special Project plan would continue to support farmers that fully returned their recoveries.

Periscope Nigeria reports that the RIFAN President Alh Aminu Goronyo, had awarded the Gombe State Coordinator CBN-RIFAN Special Project Alh Abubakar Muhammad Bello, as the national best Coordinator for five years.
Bello received the prize on Tuesday in Abuja, at the national meeting of the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria RIFAN.
He pointed out that CBN aims to maximise Nigeria’s potential in rice production as a measure towards conserving external reserves and discouraging importation.

The Anchor Borrowers Programme has made a lot of positive impact on the economy, output and even the national food security system is said to have improved.
However, farmers are expected to continue paying their loans, so as to encourage the government to accommodate more farmers in the programme.
Investigations shows that CBN’s intervention has created wealth for smallholder farmers in the state and the country, as many farmers would no longer need loans as they would have been empowered beyond “borrowing.”
