PVC: Kebbi declares Thursday, Friday as public holiday
Kebbi State Government has declared this Thursday and Friday as a work free day in the state.
According to the government the holiday is aimed at providing civil servants in the state with the opportunity to participate and register in the ongoing voters’ card registration ahead of the deadline of July 31st.
This was contained in a statement that was signed and issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari.

He quoted the state’s Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Sufiyanu Garba Bena saying, “this is part of the state government’s effort to play an encouraging role to enable civil servants partake fully in the exercise, in preparation for the forth coming general election.
“Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has approved two day public holiday, Thursday and Friday this week to enable civil servants participate in the ongoing voters’ card registration before the deadline of 31st July, 2022,” Dakingari said.
He added stating that governor therefore, appealed to all and sundry, especially people in the rural areas to turn-out en masse to ensure massive participation.
“The governor directed local and state government officials and other stakeholders to encourage and embark on voter education and sensitization enlightenment awareness to motivate eligible voters to acquire the permanent voters card, PVC,” the statement added.
