Serious security measures to curb criminal elements in Gombe State during, after Sallah adopted by CP Babaita

With worsening security challenges facing the Country, the Gombe State Police Command have taken precautionary measures to ensure that Muslim faithful celebrate the Sallah hitch- free in the state.
In order to match his words with action, the Commissioner, CP Ishola B. Babaita has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment towards protection of life and property of the citizens by employing heavy intelligence and robust crime prevention measures before, during and after the celebration.
In the statement by ASP. Mahid Mu’azu Abubakar, the Police Public Relations Officer and made available to newsmen in Gombe, Friday, stated unequivocally that the Gombe State Police Command under the watch of the Commissioner of Police CP. Ishola B. Babaita wished to felicitate with the Muslim Ummah and members of general public in Gombe State on this auspicious occasion of Sallah Celebration and ” the Command reaffirms its commitment towards protection of life and property of the citizens by emplacing robust crime prevention measures before, during and after the celebration.”
Furthermore, that officers and men of the Command will be on their toes to rid the State of criminal elements, Criminal hide outs will be raided, joint inter- agency surveillance patrols to neutralize any likely threats to peace and security of the State and enforcement of road traffic regulations within Gombe Metropolis and its environs will be sustained.
While calling on parents/guardians to be watchful over the movement of their children/wards during the festive period, the police it will not fail to carry it’s responsible no matter the person ( s) involved.
Meanwhile, it is necessary to once again call on politicians in the State to adhere to INEC time table on schedule of activities for the 2023 General Election and avoid any form of Political campaigns or rallies under any guise at Eid praying grounds.
