RIFAN Special Project moves to Tumu on assessment, recovery
The Gombe State RIFAN Special Project has continued to monitor farmers across the 11 Local Government Areas for compliance following the directives of the State Coordinator, Alh. Abubakar Muhammad Bello.
The visit Periscope Nigeria gathered was aimed at increasing the level of compliance by the farmers and assess the successes recorded so far in the wet season mid-survey.

Speaking, Mal. Aminu Umar, who is the Monitoring and Evaluation officer of Sarkin Shanu Foundation for Youth and Community Development who was one of the beneficiaries as well as the team member for the farm supervision exercise commended the intervention.
Umar, made the observation known in Tumu, Akko LGA, where he reaffirmed the commitment of the farmers, adding that they are complying with best rice farming practices, “by applying all the input received from the RIFAN Special Project Gombe State,” he said.
He said, “Farming of this season was extremely excellent and very encouraging for the farmers. It is very obvious that farmers will enjoy a reasonable harvest during the period.”
Umar further commended the Gombe State Coordinator, Bello for the giant stride in promoting rice farming in the State, “it is adding value to the Nation’s food security,” he said.
