Gombe lawmaker sends SOS message to Govt
Lawmaker representing Pero-Shonge in Gombe House of Assembly Samuel Wina on Monday sent a Save Our Soul message to the Governor Muhammadu Yahaya.
Wina, sent the SOS message following resumed attacks involving farmers and herders in his constituency.
According to the lawmaker, relevant authorities have been notified during the resumed attacks, urging the people to embrace peace.

It is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow I wish to brief the Public on the happenings in Lapandintai community of Kushi ward in Pero-Chonge constituency.

On Sunday morning the 21st of August 2022 the peaceful community of Lapandintai in Shongom local government area was attacked leading to the death of three persons.
As of now, it is difficult to estimate the number of people being displaced including property and farmlands destroyed.
To this end I call on His Excellency the Executive Governor of Gombe State Alh Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Danmajen Gombe) to rise to this occasion by deploying Security forces to Lapandintai and its environs until normalcy returns to the general area.
This is a matter of urgent public importance, because women and children have been forced to vacate their communities leaving behind their properties, livestock and farms to be destroyed by these assailants.
The commissioner for Internal Security and the Chairman House committee on security and tenders were duly informed at the time of the incident.
