Coalition presents award to Gombe Police PRO ASP Mahid Mua’zu Abubakar
A Coalition of Youth Association, Gombe on Wednesday, presented an award to Gombe State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Mua’zu Abubakar.

Periscope Nigeria reports that the award was presented by the coalition for his humanitarian service in making Gombe Command ‘digital for information flow.’

Speaking on behalf of the Coalition Chairperson, Hafsat Abubakar Akko, said the award was geared towards encouraging the efforts of the command, especially its image maker in entrenching free flow of information.

According to her, free flow of information would improve the state positively, saying “which is for the betterment of the society.”

Responding, Abubakar, lauded the Coalition for the honour, stressing that it would boost him and his colleagues to servicing the needs of the people.
He said, “I welcome and appreciate the leadership for finding me worthy of this award , not because am better than others but due to the fact that they appreciate the little service Gombe State Police Command has being rendering to the society.”

Abubakar, vowed to do more in ensuring community relations, disseminating information for the safety of residents, while urging for more collaboration with members of the public in order to nip crime in the board.

“We can’t do it alone that’s why we strengthen the community policing agenda of the Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba Psc (+) fdc, NPM.
“I also wish to dedicate the award to my leader, the Commissioner of Police Gombe Command CP Ishola Babatunde Babaita Psc, FDMSS, because of the support and encouragement I get from him,” Abubakar added.
