Fatiha: Gombe Gov lauds President Buhari, Osinbajo, Tinubu, others

The wedding fatiha of the son of Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, Architect Misbahu Inuwa Yahaya and Barrister Amira Babayo was a roll call of who is who in the country that cut across political divide, religious differences and attracted creme la creme in the society.
In the appreciation letter personally signed by the Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, which was made available to our correspondent in Gombe.
Yahaya conveyed his profound appreciation and that of the entire family for the outpouring of love and overwhelming solidarity received from personalities across all walks of life who either personally attended or sent their representations and goodwill messages on the occasion of the Wedding Fatiha of his son, Architect Misbahu Inuwa Yahaya and his bride, Ameera Babayo, which took place on Saturday, 17th September, 2022 in Gombe.
In the statement, the Governor Yahaya expressed his immense appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who sent a strong delegation led by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Gida Mustapha and the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami respectively.

He however extended his deep appreciation to the Vice President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Ahmad Lawal, the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, the Chairman of their great party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, His Excellency, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu ( Turakin Keffi) who led almost the entire membership of the party’s national working committee to the occasion.
According to statement, “our leader and Presidential Candidate, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his amiable running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, the Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ekiti State, H.E Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the Chairman of Progressives Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kebbi State, H. E Sen. Atiku Bagudu, the Chairman of North-East Governors’ Forum and Governor of Borno State, H. E Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, mni and other Governors of the the North-East States of Adamawa, H.E Rt Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Bauchi; H.E Bala Mohammed and Yobe; H. E Hon Mai Mala Buni as well as the Governor of Nasarawa State Governor, H.E Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule.”
The Governor who is also the”Dan Majen Gombe”, conveyed his profound gratitude to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar lll, Emir of Gombe and Chairman of Gombe State Council of Emirs and Chiefs for his usual fatherly role throughout the process while Special appreciation also went to the Shehu of Borno, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi and all the traditional rulers in Gombe State and beyond.
Apart from dignitaries outside Gombe State, politicians, captains of industry, technocrats, and diplomatic Corps also received Special appreciation like the former Governor of Gombe State, H. E Sen. Muhammad Danjuma Goje, former Governor of Borno State, H. E Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, Senate Leader, Sen. Abdullahi Ibrahim Gobir, Sen. Saidu Ahmed Alkali, Hon. Usman Bello Kumo, Hon. Aishatu Jibir Dukku and other members of the National Assembly.

He further acknowledged and appreciated the Speaker and members of the Gombe State House of Assembly, Chief Judge, Grand Khadi, Judges and Khadis of the Shariah Court of Appeal, Heads of Federal Government Parastatals and Extra Ministerial Agencies, Leaders of Thought, Federal and State Government Officials, the Business community, the Ulama, particularly the renowned Islamic clerics, Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir and Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi and other religious leaders, serving and retired Public and Civil Servants as well as Heads of Security Agencies.
Also specially acknowledged are Former Gombe State PDP governorship aspirants, Dr. Jamilu Ishiyaku Gwamna ( Sardaunan Gombe) and Dr. Babayo Ardo.
Inuwa Yahaya said in the message to his friends and associates, “thank you for always standing by me and my family” , while the Bride’s father, Malam Babayo Mohammed Damori and his family, will remain eternally grateful.
“To the entire good people of Gombe State, we say thank you for your contributions towards the success of the memorable event and for the hospitable welcome accorded dignitaries throughout their stay in Gombe”.
