Assemblies of God Church to hold retirement service for Rev Eteyen Ekanem, after 43 years

An astute administrator, a scholar, a clergy and Area Supervisor of Assemblies of God Church, Rev Eteyen Ekanem, JP and his wife Rev.(Mrs) Mabel E.Ekanem have served in the Lord’s Vineyard for 43 years of meritorious service.
As the Gombe State Area Supervisor, Rev Ekanem, held the position of Area Supervisor which is equivalent to bishop in order denominations while serving the Assemblies of God Church.
He also functioned in various capacities and creditably with excellent records of good performances, legacies of winning souls for God and physical achievements recorded within the period of 43 years of his priesthood along with his beloved and committed wife, Rev. Mrs Mabel Ekanem.
According to a press statement made available to PERISCOPE NIGERIA, the retirement ceremony of Rev Eteyen Ekanem and his wife Rev Mrs Mabel Ekanem, after 43 years of meritorious service would be held on 26th November,2022 at the Assemblies of God Church, Sabon line, Gombe.
Our Correspondent reports that Ekanem, served in various capacities as Lafia District Superintendent from 2000 to 2003, Sokoto Missionary Area Chairman from 2005 to 2011, Gombe Missionary Area Chairman from 2011 to 2017 and Gombe Area Supervisor from 2017 till date as well as Non AG Post .
This Liturgist has served Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria PFN Chairman in Akwanga Chapter from 1992 to 2000, State PFN Chairman of Nasarawa State from 2000 to 2003 and Gombe State PFN Advisory Council from 2011 till date of retirement.
The Young Rev Eteyen Ekanem started the ministry in 1979 at Shendam in Plateau State, pastored at First Church at Army Barrack and Church at Lakushi before he was transferred to Bauchi in 1986.
As a man of God, Rev Eteyen Ekanem along with his wife pastored at the Railway Church till 1991 when he was transferred to Akwanga in 1991 were he served as Lafia Area Secretary and Sectional Leader respectively.
He was also transferred from Akwanga to Agyaragu in 1997 as the Pioneer Leader, before he was transferred to Keffi in 2003 where he worked till 2004.
This leader of leaders was again transferred to J.Allen Sokoto in 2005 to 2011 from where he came to Gombe in 2011 till this time of his retirement as the Senior Pastor of Assemblies of God No. 1 and Chairman of the Area by meeting all the Constitutional requirements as the the Area and was upgraded by the leadership of the National Assemblies of God Church in 2016 hence saddled with the responsible of the Area Supervisor which is equivalent to a bishop before his retirement on 26th of November, 2022.
