Flood: Foundation supports 11 affected households in Gombe with N55,000
No fewer than 11 persons representing various households have received N55,000 support from Lawanti Community Development Foundation (LCDF).

Our correspondent reports that each beneficiary received N5,000 support to augment the challenges faced due to the torrential rains which flooded both farmlands and homes.
Speaking in an interview with our correspondent on Saturday, Adamu Panami, said they were selected from various villages in Lawanti, Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State.

He said, “We supported 11 people each received N5,000. Among the beneficiaries we have those from Lawanti, Jalingo, Dunamari, Wurodulo, Amachir, Boggage, Jagaruwa . We selected them due to the extent of damage from the flood.”
Panami, also urged them to take their present circumstances in , stressing that hopefully it would not occur in the future.
“It is from God, it is unavoidable. They should just exercise patience. The entire community is appealing to the government to come to the aid of these people especially those who didn’t get the support,” Panami said.

On his part, branch Secretary of Nigeria Red Cross Muritala Abdullahi, lauded the Foundation for the support.
Abdullahi who also made a presentation on behalf of the organisation, urged the beneficiaries to utilise the N5,000 sum in rewarding venture, adding that would alleviate the pain of the people.

ubaydah, commended the beneficiaries for their steadfastness, stressing that their current conditions would pass with time.
Village Heads, representatives of SEMA, FOYAE, NEMA, Concern mind of Halima Madi were among those present at the disbursement.
