Gombe SSG alerts APC support group on opposition’s vote buying tactics
The Secretary to Gombe State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has alerted APC support group to be aware of opposition’s plan to engage in vote buying ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
He called on eligible voters not to be deceived by such individuals instead keep their voter’s cards to vote for credible leaders.
Njodi who gave the admonition when he hosted the Integrity Group led by its chairman Abdullahi Jalo (Castic), at the Government House.


He said the call became necessary to check the desperation of people with nothing to table before the electorate.
The SSG also encouraged the group to intensify voter mobilisation drive as electioneering campaigns has began across the country.
While assuring them of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s approval of their activities, Prof. Njodi also pledged governments support to enable it achieve the goal of returning Governor Yahaya and the APC in 2023.
He emphasised the resolve of Inuwa Yahaya’s administration to continue giving youth and women opportunities to contribute in nation building as he has demonstrated in policies and actions.
Njodi noted that the achievements of governor Yahaya led APC administration spread across the all sectors in nooks and crannies of state, has remained a threat to other parties.
He however, called on the group to remain focus in public enlightenment on these achievements.
In their separate comments, the Commissioners of Youth Development and that of Commerce expressed confidence in the capacity of the Integrity Group to to deliver on its mandate considering the quality of leadership and membership.
Speaking earlier, The Chairman of the Group, Abdullahi Jalo (Castic), had earlier in his presentation informed the SSG that the group has members drawn from the 11 local government areas of the state with the sole mandate of working for re-election of Governor Inuwa Yahaya and the APC come 2023.
The Chairman had also assured their commitment and loyalty to government and the APC in all ramifications.
Other speakers representing the geographical spread of the state expressed support to the leadership of Abdullahi Jalo, to lead the group towards achieving its set goals.
