GSU Post UTME registration commences on Monday
Gombe State University (GSU), has asked prospective students who applied for its admission to get set for online registration for Post UTME from Monday 17th October, 2022.
Our Correspondent reports that the call for registration is meant for those with 170 score for degree programme in science and 150 for Education, Art and Social Sciences courses
While 200 in the recently held Joint Admission and Matriculation Board examination would suffice for those planning to sudy Law, Medicine and Pharmacy programmes.

According to a statement signed by the school’s Registrar Abubakar Aliyu Bafeto, the prospective students are expected to pay 2,000 as non refundable fee to be shortlisted for the test.
Bafeto’s statement partly read, “This is to inform all the Candidates who applied for admission into the various Degree Programmes of Gombe State University for the 2022/2023 Academic Session that there shall be Online Registration for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise commencing from Monday, 17th October 2022, for candidates who choose the University as First Choice Institution on JAMB portal, and;1) Scored a minimum of 170 points in the UTME, for Degree Programmes in Science, 150 in Education, Arts and Social Sciences.”
While advising those with low scores below 200 in Law, Medicine and Pharmacy to change to another discipline in order to be accommodated.
“2) Scored a minimum of 200 points in the UTME, for Medicine, Pharmacy and Law Programmes Candidates with less than 200 points, particularly for Medicine, Pharmacy and Law Programmes, are advised to immediately change to other alternative Programmes, such as;1) Minimum JAMB scores of 180: B.Sc. Anatomy, Physiology or Biochemistry; ii) Minimum JAMB scores of 170: B.Sc. Geology, Geography, Chemistry, Biology, Botany or Zoology. B.Sc. (B.Ed.) Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Mathematics or Physics; iii) Minimum JAMB score of 170 plus inclusion of Mathematics in JAMB combination: B.Sc. Mathematics, Physics or Statistics, Computer Science; B.Sc. (Ed): Mathematics or Physics.
“3) Possesses an NCE/DMB/Advanced Level GCE/Diploma for Direct Entry (Please note that the NCE, IMB, Advanced Level GCE or Diploma must be in the same course being applied for.
“Eligible Candidates shall pay a Non-refundable Screening charge of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only, through the University’s online screening portal. Candidates shall visit the University portal: http://dhrd-su-edu.com/admission to register for the Online Screening,” the Registrar said.
Bafeto added, “1) Enter the JAMB Registration Number and Click ‘Get Details’ii) Pay the Screening Fee online Using ATM/Debit/Credit Card, Bank, Transfer, USSD or Visa QR iii) Fill the Form to create UTME/DE Screening Account iv) Click Register v) Candidate’s details captured shall be displayed
“vi) Click ‘Generate Data Form’ vii) A PDF File of two pages shall be generated: a) Page 1 of the PDF captures candidate’s Registration details b) Page 2 is the Candidate’s Post-UTME Test (CBT) Exams Card
“viii) Print the two pages, and attach photocopies of all credentials to page 1 and bring them along with the originals on the day of the Physical Screening. The dates on which Candidates would be screened shall be obtained from the Portal during Registration.”
