Just In: Ex Gombe Commissioner dumps APC
Former Gombe State Commissioner for Information Julius Ishaya Lepes, on Wednesday dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Kaltungo, of Gombe-South.
Recall that Lepes, following the electoral act resigned his appointment as Commissioner to contest the House Representatives primary election under his party to represent Kaltungo/Shongom Federal Constituency which was allegedly militarised.
Our Correspondent reports that recently Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, sent two Commissioner-nominees to Gombe state house of assembly for screening to fill the vacuum created by his resignation from the cabinet.
According to the resignation letter addressed to the Chairman of APC Kaltungo west ward in Kaltungo Local Government Area of Gombe, the former Zonal leader of the ruling party declined to state the reason for his exit neither did he mention his next political direction.
The statement partly read, “Am happy to tender my membership resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC), this day 26th of October, 2022 for reasons best known to me.
“I no dey do again, bye-bye! Thank you.”
Confirming the letter which has gone viral in a telephone interview with our Correspondent Lepes, described the letter as true.
