Sarkin Shanu Distributes Admission Letters to Scholarship Beneficiaries
The Sarkin Shanu Foundation for Youth and Community Development on Saturday distributed admission letters to the beneficiaries of Alh. Abubakar Muhammad Bello scholarship to study at IHERIS University Lome.
Bello, also known as Sarkin Shanun Yamaltu, approved the distribution of the admission under the watch of Mal. Yahaya Muhammad Kumo, Programme Manager of the Foundation.
The Program Manager of Sarkin Shanu Foundation for Youth and Community Development represented the founder of the foundation during the presentation.
Yahaya said, “Alh. Abubakar Muhammad Bello’s tuition-free scholarship was part of his effort to ensure each and everyone have access to free and quality education which will enable them to empower themselves educationally and financially.”
According to Kumo, the beneficiaries were drawn from all the emirate councils, religious organisations, youth groups and community-based organisations in Gombe State.
Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, Muhammad Umar Kumo, extended their appreciation and gratitude to Bello for giving them this opportunity.
He said, “Before now I’ll not believe that I will have an opportunity to study abroad but today courtesy of Alh. Abubakar Muhammad Bello’s kindness, We all have the opportunity to study abroad for free. We want to pray that May Almighty Allah rewards him.”
