Independence Day Celebration: Gombe Deputy Gov reviews parade

Gombe State Deputy Governor, Manassah Daniel Jatau, has reviewed parade mounted by the Nigerian Police Force, Civil Defence Corps, GosTEC, and School Children in an event marking the celebration of Nigeria’s 62nd Anniversary and 26th Anniversary of the creation of Gombe State.

The parade was staged at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe where a huge jubilant crowds comprising the lowly and highly placed were in attendance.
Shortly after the reviewing of the parade, the Deputy Governor explained that reflecting on the developments since independence, and creation of Gombe State, the celebration is deserving.

He further explained that the celebration is an act of gratitude to God, and recognition of the sacrifices of the founding fathers, who laboured to ensure Nigeria is where it is today.

Jatau said, “the moment is also to provide an opportunity to encourage the people contribute their own part to development of the state and the nation.”

While commenting on the political season, the Deputy Governor added, “There is need for our oneness to stay in unity and peace while carrying out our activities especially now that political campaign has commenced.”

On the deputy Governor’s entourage include; the Gombe State House of Assembly Speaker , Rt. Hon. Mohammed Abubakar Luggerewo, the state police command Commissioner, Mr.Ishola Babaita, the Commander 301 Artillery Regiment Support Gombe, Colonel Abia Ofong Ndah, other Para Military Commanders, the SSG,Prof.Ibrahim Abubakar Injodi, The Head of Civil service Alhaji Bappayo Yahaya, Honourable Commissioners, Special Advisers and other top Government
officials who graced the occasion.
