WORLD EGG DAY: AIT Integrated Farms to distribute 3,000 eggs to four schools in Gombe
As the World prepares to commemorate Egg Day on Friday October 14, 2022, AIT Integrated Farms is set to distribute 3,000 eggs to four primary sections in four schools within the Gombe metropolis to mark the special day.
The promoter of the Farm, Mallam Abubakar Inuwa Tata, disclosed this during an interview on Thursday, with Periscope Nigeria in Gombe.
Tata stated that the theme of this year’s celebration Eggs for a better life, is apt considering the nutritional and environmental benefits of eggs, which improves lives worldwide.
He also stated that egg is the most affordable source of nutrients in Nigeria compared to other substitutes in terms of nutritional value as one egg has only 75 calories but 7 grams of high-quality protein, 5 grams of fat, 1.6 grams of saturated fat, along with iron, vitamins, minerals and carotenoids and advice citizens to eat atleast one egg a day.
