2023: Taraba APC mocks Gov Ishaku, as PDP denies hired crowd allegation
By Terna Chikpa, Jalingo
Taraba State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has mocked governor Darius Ishaku and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), over the report circulating around that the crowd at the governor’s senatorial campaign flag off on Saturday in Wukari were hired.
Mr. Aaron Artimas, the state APC Publicity Secretary, while speaking to Journalists on Monday in Jalingo, expressed that the PDP idea of importing crowd for the governor’s senatorial campaign flag off in Wukari was a demonstration of failure and frustrational tricks to convince the outside world that governor Ishaku and the PDP are still loved and relevant in the state.
Nigerian Tribune reports that one Mr. Vincent Ishaya, a resident of ATC Jalingo, who claimed he was asked by the PDP to mobilise 200 youths from Jalingo for the occasion of governor Darius Ishaku’s senatorial campaign flag off.
He alleged on social media that the N3000 as agreed by the PDP for the trip was yet to be given to them, and that he and majority of the youth were still stranded in Wukari after receiving N1000 each as against N3000.
The APC while expressing dismay over the development however, blamed the youth for submitting to such idea after having a clear knowledge of the governor and the PDP record of misfortune for the state and her citizens.
“I’m not surprise that the youth are now crying for their N2000 balance from the Wukari trip.
“It is in the character of the party to cheat so, i’m not surprise that they have again used the heads of the youths.
“Although, I blame the young men and ladies who agreed to be hired, I however wish to express here that, it is inhuman of the PDP after discovering that the governor and his party have lost relevance in the state, would for the purpose of attracting fake crowd, hire people for 3000 to Wukari and end up paying them only 1000 each,” APC mocked.
However, Mr. Andeta’rang Irammae, the PDP Public Relations Officer, denied knowledge of the development.
Irammae, expressed that the report was a handiwork of mischief makers who are being paid by the APC to portray PDP in the state as a bad party.
“We did not hire anyone for the governor’s senatorial campaign flag off. I coordinated the occasion myself and I want to tell you that no one was hired.
“I do not know who is Vincent Ishaya, we don’t do Facebook in PDP so, Ishaya should come face to face with me and speak out his claims,”Irammae denied.
