Spill over 400L student Commits Suicide in Gombe Varsity
A 400 level Education student of Federal University Kashere, identified as Nalkur Zwalnan-Lar, has committed suicide.
Confirming the incident on Thursday, Suleiman Ahmed, the Head, Information and Protocol, FUK said investigation was ongoing.
According to him, the school would make known the reason the former student chose suicide known.
“We will make details of the investigation known to the public when the investigation must have been concluded,” Ahmed said.
Zwalnan-Lar, who was a spill over student was said to have written letter, which he asked his neighbours to open until after 20 minutes.
Our Correspondent reports that the deceased was alleged to have tried chemical identified as ‘sniper’ before opting to hang himself.
According to the letter, which was said to have been handed to his neighbour, he urged his father to stop procreating, adding that despite having wealthy father he couldn’t afford N50,000 worth of phone.
He decried the decision of his former girlfriend who wedded due to the prolonged ASUU strike.
