100 Kaltungo bean cake traders get SSG’s 5kg bags of beans each
No fewer than 100 women who are into bean cake business otherwise known as (Kosai), in Kaltungo Local Government Area have benefitted from the Secretary to the Gombe State Government Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, give away of 5kg of beans each, to enhance their petty trading.
It will be recalled that recently the Secretary to the Gombe State Government distributed bags of rice to party leaders and supporters of the APC in Gombe South Senatorial District, in the spirit of the Yuletide.
Njodi, who was represented at the distribution exercise by Umar Hammadu said the gesture was to support the women in order to improve on their chosen business as well as their income.
He reiterated his commitment towards assisting the people irrespective of social economic or religious affiliation.
Some beneficiaries of the gesture expressed gratitude to the SSG, saying the commodity would boost their business.
“As you can see, with this beans, all we now need is groundnut oil and that’s all, the beans will go along way in curtailing monies we could have needlessly spent on buying beans,” a beneficiary said.
Our Correspondent reports that the 100 bags of 5kg of beans distributed, was across Kaltungo Local Government.
