Gombe Gov Orders Council Bosses To Handover To Secretaries
Following the expiration of the tenure of Local Government Councils Chairmen, Deputy Chairmen and Councillors in Gombe, The Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has directed all the 11 outgoing Chairmen to handover the affairs of their Local Government Councils to their respective Secretaries.
Conveying the decision of the governor, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, the Secretary to the Gombe State Government disclosed this in a press statement made circulated by the Director-General Ismaila Uba.
Our Correspondent reports that the council executives were elected in December 2020 in an election conducted by Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC), chaired by Sa’idu Awak.
The All Progressives Congress cleared the entire council seats, without exception.
“His Excellency thanks the outgoing Chairmen, Deputy Chairmen and Councilors for the services rendered as well as their contributions to the development of Gombe State, and wishes them success in their future endeavors,” Njodi disclosed.
