Taraba council boss chides group over blackmail

The Caretaker Chairman Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State, Hon Bala Bako on Wednesday described the publication by an online medium (Not PERISCOPE NIGERIA), purportedly credited to a group, (PDP coalition group), Ibi local government passing a vote of no confidence on him as false.
The. council chairman who is also the ALGON Chairman Taraba State, described the publication as false, handiwork of mischief makers who were sponsored by opposition in the local government to portray negative image about his administration in the local.
“The report of vote of no confidence on me and my administration by a purported PDP coalition group, Ibi local government is false. The publication is the handiwork of mischief makers who were sponsored by opposition in the local government to portray negative image about my administration and bring distraction among PDP in the local.
“I have restored confidence in people of the local government, I have recordes of some achievements that have direct bearing on the lives of the local people.
“The allegations of mismanagement of resources against me is falsehood. Those publicising falsehood against me are being sponsored by those who did not mean well for the local government and my administration.
“All the resources of the local government are channel for sustainable growth of the local government and i wondered where the group have gotten the misleading information.
“I want to assure Governor Darius Ishaku who is the PDP senatorial candidate for Taraba South and other PDP Candidates in the state of my total support and cooperation of the good people of Ibi local government towards their victories. I wish to express that i, and the good people of Ibi local government are working round the clock to ensure the victory of PDP in the 2023 general elections.
“I want to also warn those behind the attempt to bring disunity among PDP members in Ibi local government to decist and stop misleading the public about my administration with black mail” The council chairman expressed.
