Slavery: Ghanaian Sculptor Atoko-Bamfo Remembers African Ancestors
Ghanaian artist Kwame Atoko-Bamfo, has created several sculptures in a lake to remember our ancestors.
These ancestors drowned as they were transported through the Atlantic Sea during slavery.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that slave trade prior to it abolition was the major source of foreign exchange.
However, it was abolished due to various calls that the business was against fundamental human rights.
Many of the victims were from the tribes of Akan, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa.
