Abia PDP Campaign Council Canvasses Support For Candidates

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governorship candidate in Abia State, Prof Uchenna Eleazar Ikonne, has tasked the the people of Amasaa Nsulu ward I and Umunna Nsulu ward II in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of the state to work for the victory of the party in the wards.
The Governorship candidate disclosed that under his watch as the Governor, no part of the state would be left undeveloped.
Ikonne who was represented at the occasion by the State’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Sir Christopher Ogbonnaya Enweremadu, gave the assurance during the PDP ward campaign rallies held at Umuakwu Nsulu and Umuosu Nsulu Central schools respectively.
The Governorship candidate thanked the people of the areas for standing by the PDP all these years, describing the two political wards as the party’s strongholds, and called on them not to disappoint them in the forthcoming elections.
He further gave the philosophy behind his “Tiger Economy” agenda which according to him, would not only help in putting the development of the state on a faster development, but guarantee participatory governance for all the citizens of the state.
Also Speaking, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Okey Ahiwe, explained that the Peoples Democratic Party has an avowed commitment to carry every one along of distributed elective positions to various Local Government Areas for the sake of equity and Justice, insisting that it’s only unfair and unwise for anyone from Isiala Ngwa North to attempt to disrupt the arrangement having zoned the Governorship ticket to Isiala Ngwa North.
He called on the people of both wards not to listen to the antics of the opposition parties, but to vote all PDP candidates.
Earlier in their separate remarks, the PDP Chairman for Isiala Ngwa North, Elder Sam Esindu, the Chairman of the PDP campaign Council for Isiala Ngwa North, Chief Gauis Anyanwụ, the Isiala Ngwa North Coordinator for Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organisation, Hon. Chinanu Ogbunamiri, the PDP stalwarts from the wards including the Hon. Commissioner for Works, Elder Bob Ogu, Hon. Chinedum Ugoala, Hon. I. C Nwankwere and Mr. Chris Ugwumadu, thanked the State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu and by extension the leadership of the PDP in the state for finding it fit to entrust the party’s Governorship ticket to their son and brother, Prof Uche Ikonne, assuring that they would reciprocate the gesture by voting massively for all PDP candidates beginning with the first election on the 25th of next month.
Also, PDP Candidate for Isiala Ngwa North Constituency, Chief Collins Ugochukwu Iheonunekwu, the PDP candidate for Isiala Ngwa/South Federal Constituency, Chief A.C.B Agbazuere, as well as the PDP Candidate for Abia Central Senatorial seats, Col. Austin Akobundu represented by their Isiala Ngwa North Cordinators, Hon. Udo Nwaogwugwu Y O and Dr. G. C Iwuoha respectively assured the people of Amasaa Nsulu and Umunna Nsulu of adequate representation if elected, and pledged to work in synergy with Prof Uche Ikonne, towards bringing development to the two wards.
The Campaign rally witnessed a huge turnout of crowds and supporters, including displays by several groups and was witnessed by dignitaries including the State Focal Person, Mr. Chinenye Nwaogu.
Meanwhile, Abia State PDP Campaign train visited other wards and Local Government Areas of the State canvassing votes for Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, and the Governorship candidate Prof. Ikonne.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the massive crowd of people of Umunna ward II that were present at the event made it clear that they are leaving no stone unturned in the project.
Among the dignitaries who attended the rally included the Commissioner for Local Government Area and Chieftaincy Affairs, Rt Hon .C.O Enweremadu, The Chief of Staff To The Governor Chief Okey Ahaiwe.
