APC not sponsoring me- Gombe LP Gubernatorial candidate insists
By Chima Azubuike
The Governorship candidate for Labour Party in Gombe State, Keftin Amuga, has debunked purported rumours claiming that he is being sponsored by Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Amuga in a statement by his Campaign media office in Gombe State, on Monday described it as fake news and the handiwork of mischief makers.
According to him, his brother’s membership of the ruling APC should not be misconstrued as family interest, adding that they have different political leanings.
The candidate of the Labour Party said, “people should not mistake me my younger brother Professor Namala Amuga whom we don’t share the same political views as a member of All Progressives Congress (APC).
Amuga further explained that now that the labour party has zoned the office of the governor to the southern senatorial zone, the All Progressives Congress, has suddenly become jittery, and are spreading disinformation about his candidacy.
He vowed to take legal action against anyone found peddling such unfounded rumours.
The LP flag bearer lamented that he was undeterred by such mischief, assuring that he is focused on winning and “by God’s grace, i will become the next governor of Gombe State,” Amuga added.

That’s what we want our leaders to come out and say, excellent sir, keep it up and call a spades a spade. In God we lean and not on temporary structure, and that’s why we are recognized by Who is Who in Africa.
