The National Youth Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dayo Israel, says his party’s electoral success would not be threatened with the introduction of Bimodal Voter Accreditation System.

Our Correspondent reports that BVAS is the latest innovation introduced by Independent National Electoral Commission to curb electoral excesses, especially fraud during electioneering process.
Israel made this observation about the innovation, in Gombe during an interview with journalists as part of his working visit.
According to him, if the governing All Progressives Congress felt threatened it wouldn’t have introduced it, saying that the party is in support of the berthing of the innovation described to be the undoing of unscrupulous politicians especially election manipulators.
Israel said, “Why are we going to be threatened by technology, We introduced BVAS, if we were not sincere or ready, we won’t even have introduced it. We brought in BVAS, our administration encouraged it.”
On Permanent Voters Cards collection, “it is only with your PVCs that you can exercise your fundamental human rights to choose the people that will lead you,” he added.
The National Youth Leader described youth involvement in politics as impressive, called for more involvement.
He noted that youth involvement in Gombe was synonymous to happenings in the South, adding that the Gombe State Governor has brought transformation to bear.
“We need alot of young people involvement in mainstream politics to bring the needed creativity to governance. What I think the governor will do would be to consolidate on the infrastructure in his second term,” Israel added.
