CP Etim Sensitises Bajoga Command On Payment Of Arrears, Warns Against Extortion
The Commissioner of Police Gombe State command CP Oqua Etim, on Tuesday visited Bajoga Area Command to sensitise and lecture officers and men with valid information regarding the payment of arrears.
Earlier in his welcome address the Area Commander ACP Abubakar Giade, warmly welcomed the Commissioner to the Area command and briefed him on the happenings at the Area command which compasses successes and challenges.
The Area commander presented their requests to the Commissioner of Police in regard to building of the Area command office so as to have a conducive working environment.
Abubakar said the CP’s visit gave them a sense of belonging, encouragement and prayed Almighty God to give him the strength to discharge his duty effectively.
Responding the Commissioner of Police Gombe State command Etim, charged the personnel to intensify efforts in discharging their duties and take in cognisant “Community Policing” where Police collaborate with their host Community for valid information.
The CP further warned the personnels to desist from extorting members of the public and accord respect to their Superiors inline of duty.
He said, “To maintain sanity and team up, especially in the up-coming General Elections to provide adequate security before, during and after the exercise, any personnel defaulting, will be severely sanctioned.”
The CP further thanked the Area Command for safeguarding the community, urging them to keep the tempo.
