DSS Debunks Invasion of CBN
The Public Relations Officer, Department of State Services National Headquarters, Peter Afunanya, on Monday debunked insinuations that its operatives invaded Central Bank of Nigeria.
Afunanya, made this disclosure in a statement made available to PERISCOPE NIGERIA.
He disclosed that the rumour has no element of truth as there was no intention to arrest the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Godwin Emefiele.
The statement read, “The attention of the Department of State Services (DSS) has been drawn to the false news making the round that its operatives invaded the Central Bank of Nigeria and arrested its Governor, today 16/1/23. This is fake news and quite misleading.”
