Ningi/Warji: Group Endorses ADC Candidate, Zakari Garba
A group under the aegis of Ningi/Warji Youth Awareness Forum (NWYAF), has endorsed candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Zakari Garba.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that NWYAF has structure across 25 wards in both the two LGA’s.
Garba is contesting for Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency in Bauchi State.
The current occupant of the seat is a member of All Progressives Congress (APC), while the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) enjoys the support of the sitting governor.
According to the leader of the group Adamu Garba, the ADC candidate was singled out following his impact to youths in the constituency.
He disclosed that aside endorsing Garba, his group has supported him by printing campaign posters.
He said, “The candidate of the ADC is the only one that has written formally informing us of his decision to contest. This is aside his empowerment of youths in the federal constituency through NPower and others. He is also the youngest among the two other candidates.”
Responding, Garba appreciated the group for its forthrightness, adding that it would spur his zeal in representing the people.
He said, “I’m very happy because it shows how youths have started understanding what is good for them.”
“Also they have added more value to my political career,” Garba graciously added.
