2000 former NNPP, APC, PDP members defect to ADC in Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency
No fewer than 2000 defectors have been received by Zakari Garba, candidate of African Democratic Congress for Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency.
Our Correspondent reports that among those received include former members of New Nigeria Peoples Party, All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party.
The defectors were received at Kafin lemon ward, in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi, by Garba Adamu, Hon. Nura Sani Abdulsalam, State House of Assembly candidate Ningi Constituency; Ahmad Musa, State House Candidate Burra Constituency; Salisu Abdulkadir Party Secretary; Alhaji Musa Ibrahim Party Chairman; Hashimu Abubakar, Maryam Idris, the Women leader.
A defector who spoke on behalf of those that defected from NNPP, disclosed that they were not carried along by candidates of the party, “they did not carry us along since after primaries..
Particularly the State House candidate, just last week court order change the candidate ticket and gave it to another person.”
Also, a representative of APC, the crisis within the party would be blamed for their decision to abandon the party, “Because the House of Assembly Candidate of APC is from that ward same as ADC, Unfortunately the candidate has nothing to show as achievement since 2019 to date.”
