Gombe Govt welcomes newly posted Commandant NSCDC, Controller Immigration
Following the promotion of the erstwhile commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Gombe command Waziri Baba Goni to the rank of Assistant Commandant General of the NSCDC and his subsequent transfer to the head quarters Abuja, Governor Muhammadu Yahaya has formally received the newly posted Command.

Receiving the commandant, the Governor assured of Government’s continued support to the security outfit.
While congratulating the outgoing Commandant on his well deserved promotion, Yahaya wished him well in carrying the task ahead describing him, “as a committed, dedicated and exemplary officer who served the State diligently during his short period of stay in Gombe,” he added.
The Governor called on the new NSCDC helmsman to consolidate on Goni’s performances.
In his remark, the Assistant Commandant General Goni, appreciated the State Government for its cooperation and needed support during his stay and solicited for same gesture to his successor.
On his part, Abraham, lauded the State Government for the warm reception accorded him and assured of his readiness to work with other sister security agencies to ensure the maintenance of peace in Gombe State.
In a similar development, Yahaya played host to newly posted state controller of Immigration Service Umar Shehu, who assumed duty recently.
Receiving the controller on behalf of the Governor, Njodi noted with delight the cordial working relationship between the State Government and the Nigerian Immigration promising to maintain the tempo.

The SSG gave a glowing tribute to the immediate past Controller Ado Sambo, for the service rendered to the State and the Nation.
Responding, the new controller Shehu, assured of his commitment and that of the command to provide the best services they could to the State and nation at large.
