#NigeriaElections2023:PDP’s Ali Isa beats Reps Solid Minerals Committee Vice Chairman

A former House of Representatives member Ali Isa, on Sunday clinched back his seat to represent Billiri/Balanga Federal Constituency, after defeating Vice Chairman House Committee on Solid Minerals Victor Danzaria.
Danzaria, had in 2019 won the seat under the platform of All Progressives Congress, defeating Isa.
Announcing the results for Billiri/Balanga Federal Constituency the collation officer Bayu Faruk, said the candidate of the PDP polled 46,146 votes to defeat his closest rival who polled 28,251 votes.
According to him, “the Federal Constituency has 81,903 as total votes cast, 79,231 as valid votes, while 2,672 votes are void.”
Reacting in an interview with journalists Isa, promised to reciprocate the love by providing the needed representation, “I thank God for giving me another opportunity to serve my people,” Isa said.
Speaking about the meaning of the outcome of the election, “to be honest this result has challenged me more. This is the first time in the history of election in this federal constituency whereby I won 17 out of 20 electoral wards and the margin very massive. I feel very happy and I assure my people that they will see the result,” he added.
While lauding INEC for the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System machines, Isa noted that it contributed to the smooth conduct, adding that “It has proven to Nigerians that a common man has a say in Governance.”
