NYSC Sensitises Staff, Corps Members On Electoral Duties In Gombe
Ahead of the 2023 General elections, Officers of the National Youth Service Corps have been sent to the thirty six States and Federal Capital Territory to sensitise Staff and Corps members on electoral duties.

In her welcome remarks,the State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Mrs Ada Imoni called on Corps members to be neutral.and apolitical as they carry out the national assignment.
“I have liaised with the Independent National Electoral Commission and Security Agencies on your welfare and security. The onus therefore,lies on you to conduct a Free,fair and credible elections,” She maintained.

While addressing Staff and Corps members at NYSC Zonal office Bolari, Gombe State, Hajiya Fadimatu Mohammed , Deputy Director Corps Welfare and Health Services, said the essence of the sensitisation was to remind them of their responsibilities and uniqueness being the right set of people for the assignment.
“I assure you that your security and welfare will not be compromised before, during and after the general elections. You are expected to be in your regalia as Corps members. You must also carry our identify card to avoid impersonation, ” she added
Mohammed, spoke extensively on security tips during the exercise. ” On no account should you engage in verbal or physical fight at the polling unit . Go out there and carry out the national assignment with all seriousness.
There were contributions from management staff on how best to carry out the task of giving the nation free, fair and credible elections come February 25th and March 11th respectively.
