Referee books Gombe United Captain for protesting disallowed goal

Captain of Gombe United Football Club, Sadiq Shuaibu, was on Monday booked for protesting a disallowed goal during a match with visiting side Plateau United.
Shuaibu at the 46th minute protested as Anayo made frantic effort from the right before launching a sublime cross which was headed home by Taiye Yusuf with jersey number seven. However, the flag was up for offside.
Our Correspondent reports that the game which was played at Pantami stadium, Gombe State ended 3-2 to defeat the Plateau boys.
Earlier, at the 12th minute
Anayo Ogbonna headed home Sadiq Shuaibu’s free kick, which was equalised at the 18th minute by the visitors. At the 23rd minute Rahman Olarewanju with a bullet header from Sadiq Shuaibu’s corner kick, during the five minutes additional time Mahanadou Souley, scored from the spot kick.
