All Progressives Congress Kashere ward has ordered Senator Danjuma Goje, to appear before its five-man committee in the next two weeks over alleged anti-party activities.
Goje, was a former Governor and current senator representing Gombe Central comprising Akko/Yalmatu Deba Local Government Areas and Kashere is his ward.
He recently won his re-election bid to the senate as a ranking senator.
Our correspondent reports that Goje, was not part of Governor Muhammadu Yahaya’s, re-election campaign and he was conspicuously absent during the President-elect Bola Tinubu’s Gombe visits.
Addressing ward members in Kashere shortly after a stakeholders’ engagement Tanimu Abdullahi, APC Kashere ward chairman said Goje, has not shown them the needed leadership, adding that he abandoned the party during the recently held polls.
Abdullahi said Goje, instead opted to sponsor other candidates, stressing that the disciplinary committee was set up to give Goje and others fair chance to explain themselves failure of which they would explore other provisions of their constitution.
He disclosed that the committee was set up in the best interest of the party, adding that no single individual was bigger than the APC.
Abdullahi said, “During the just concluded elections, it is unfortunate that Danjuma Goje and his supporters engaged in anti-party and we are all witnesses.
“He (Goje) gave directives to some party members to vote a different party and he went ahead to even give money to that course.
“He (Goje) is supposed to be an example having benefitted from the party for a long time but he went against our party; this is unfortunate.”
