Gombe guber results product of selection – AA Chair

The Action Alliance has formally stated its position in the recently conducted gubernatorial election, especially why its wants the results cancelled.
According to the Chairman, Auwal Ibrahim, who advanced reasons why the in a statement, AA would not accept selection of candidates.
Our correspondent reported that Ibrahim declined to signed the result sheet after the declaration of the of Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, who was candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the last gubernatorial election.
Before storming out he made known the resolution of his party, stressing that it was unacceptable to his party’s flagbearer Brigadier General Nuhu Milah.
However, prior to the election five political parties adopted Milah, as sole candidate.
The statement made available to our correspondent on Friday partly read,” On behalf of the the Action Alliance, of Gombe State Chapter, I hereby write to inform the general public that the we have rejected the Gombe State Governorship Election result that was announced yesterday by INEC where Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of APC Was declared Winner by INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Maimuna Waziri.”
Explaining the reasons for its rejection, adding, “The rejection came after we have discovered that the results scored by our Gubernatorial Candidate, Brigadier General Miller Nuhu Adeh (Rtd) at Polling Units, wards and Local Government Areas were not exactly collated at the final state collation centre.”
“On this note, we consider this INEC results and declaration as null and void and we have deployed already our legal team to investigate the INEC result viewing portal (IREV) and manual result sheets for immediate legal action in order to regain and retrieve our mandate in the Court of law,” the statement partly added.
