Gombe Labour Party Debunks Rumoured Alliance with PDP, NNPP
Barely 48 hours to the gubernatorial and house of assembly election, the candidate for Labour Party Keftin Amuga, and his running mate Alhaji Saleh Lawan, have again debunked rumours making the rounds that they have withdrawn from the election and endorsed candidates of Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress.
According to a press statement signed by the Amuga campaign media council and made available to journalists, the gubernatorial candidate said that the rumours being peddled against him, his running mate and the Party to have withdrawn from the race are mere propaganda.

He said, “I’m not surprised by the desperate moves by other political parties wanting to score cheap political votes as the party is a force which has sent jittery down the spine of their opponent’s since the emergence of Peter Obi.”
Amuga said barring any last move, the PDP and NNPP will collapse its structure, “for the Labour Party after Friday’s Jumat prayers, because they don’t want a repeat of the mistake the two parties did during the last presidential candidate, so as not to divide votes. The two parties failed to join forces with Mr Peter Obi which led to their poor performance at the presidential polls,” he added.
Amuga said in line with the affirmative action he and his running mate lawan would emancipate the residents in the state, as it’s the turn of Gombe South.
