Guber poll: Five political parties form alliance with AA in Gombe

No fewer than five political parties on Wednesday adopted gubernatorial candidate of Action Alliance, Brigadier General Dr Nuhu Miller, ahead of Saturday poll in Gombe.
The parties include; African Action Congress, Allied Peoples Movement, Action Peoples Party, All Progressives Grand Alliance, and Accord Party.
Addressing journalists Chairman of APGA, Mohammed Doho, said the parties agreed to form alliance with the gubernatorial candidate of Action Alliance following his track record and leadership traits.
According to Doho, the alliance was geared towards rescuing the state from the governing All Progressives Congress, in order to place the Jewel in the Savannah in sound footing for development.
He said, “the leadership of our various political parties have given directive that they should work together with the AA gubernatorial candidate in the interest of good governance.
“Brig.Gen. Nuhu Miller is the best choice for the state, after consultation with various stakeholders of their parties.”
Responding, Miller lauded the support of the five political parties, saying that his administration would alleviate the sufferings of the residents of the state.
He decried the growing economic challenges of Gombe State, “the people have worked for it. Therefore, they will be paid. Within Gombe State they are crying, the hardship is enormous and many are are crying. The current administration is very dictatorial in nature and the people can’t wait to be rescued,” the gubernatorial candidate added.
Also, the Chairman of Action Alliance Auwal Ibrahim, commended the support of the other parties expressing optimism that its would defeat the incumbent government to emerge victorious,”We will not tolerate any rigging as we have heard that some people are working to rig the election, victory is ours,” Ibrahim said.
