Support Tinubu for better Nigeria, Group urges opposition parties
The Tinubu/Kashim (TINKAS) National Support Group has urged opposition parties in the country to support the President-elect, Senator Bola Tinubu, to ensure a better and peaceful Nigeria for all citizens.
Mr Mu’azu Aminu, the National Deputy Chairman, TINKAS North East, made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gombe on Wednesday.
Aminu said Tinubu’s victory at the polls was a reflection of the choice of the people.
He said, ”all political stakeholders should support this choice and work together for the good of Nigerians.”
He said that the election that brought Tinubu was one of the freest in the history of Nigeria conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He urged those that were aggrieved by the outcome of the election of Sen, Tinubu to follow the provisions of the law to seek redress.
According to him, all political stakeholders must ensure that peace prevails and avoid anything capable of creating tension in the country.
”Whoever loves this country must work to build a better Nigeria.
”If your wish as politician is for the interest of Nigeria and the people choose Tinubu, it is reasonable to support him to make Nigeria better,” he said.
Aminu commended President Muhammadu Buhari for not interfering in the electoral process while providing all the needed resources for the polls.
”With the election, President Buhari has left a good legacy and should be commended for not tampering with the process and that’s why APC would lose Katsina and Lagos States and the result stood.
”TINKAS is congratulating Tinubu and we are calling on all Nigerians to be patient because our nation is on the path of sustainable development,” he said.
