2023 Gombe batch A stream II: Camp activities open April 26 for Prospective Corps Members

No fewer than 1652 Prospective batch A stream II Corps Members are set for deployment to Gombe State on Wednesday 26th April 2023, to Tuesday 16th May, 2023 for National Youth Service Corps temporary orientation camp at Amada, Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State.
Disclosing this in a press statement signed on Wednesday by Head Press and Public Relations Dakama Iliya, on behalf of the State Coordinator Ada Imoni, said this was in-line with NYSC Management’s resolve to continue mobilising and deploying Nigerian graduates.
While wishing PCMs safe trip to Gombe State, the State Coordinator assured of staff commitment to equip 1652 participants mentally and physically for nation building, noting that swearing-in ceremony would take place on Friday 28th April, while Tuesday 16th May 2023 the camp will be closed.
“About 1652 Prospective Corps members are expected to report at NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp Amada, Gombe State for the three-week Orientation Course.
“Prospective Corps members are advised to come along with originals of their credentials and eight copies of their recent passport for the registration exercise,” the statement added.
In order to ensure that Prospective Corps members are given warm reception on arrival, Imoni urged members of the reception committee made up of senior officers, adding that “they have been assigned to designated motor parks to welcome Prospective Corps members and direct them to the venue of the Orientation Course.”
While decrying the cases of defacing unions Imoni said, “NYSC Management has observed the growing trend of defacing the NYSC Uniform. Corps members are advised to not use rubber band at the helm of their khaki trousers, cut it to three quarter or slim fit it . Anyone caught will be sanctioned in accordance to the provisions of the NYSC Bye-laws. The uniform must be worn correctly. There are banners on correct use of the NYSC uniform placed at strategic locations in the Camp to guide you.”
