Technical Adviser of Bayelsa United Dipreye Teibowei, has called called for Nigeria Premier Professional League to upgrade to Video Assistance Referee, saying that it would stop alot of errors.

Our correspondent reports that Doma United FC beat Bayelsa United 2-1 at the Pantami stadium.
Chibuike Charles opened the goal floor in the 53rd minute, with Hillary Ekawo following suit in the 68th minute, while Bayelsa’s Fabby Clark scored it’s only goal.
According to Teibowei, since Referees are human beings they are limited adding that the VAR would ensure that teams are not shortchanged unnecessarily.
He made this call following the referee’s failure to award his team alleged beautiful chances.
Teibowei said, “For me I think it was a good match Doma United FC scored beautiful goals and Bayelsa United scored but was denied.
“Referees’ are human beings, if they make certain errors it’s natural that we complain.
“To some extent I will not say the Referee was not fair, like I said the ly are bound to make errors the goal we scored was a good good but the referee is not perfect. Having VAR is very important as it will correct these errors, if they had VAR they will see some of these errors, the people operating the VAR will be able to see clearly and call the situation back. It is very vital for Nigeria Football League to incorporate this into their system.”
Technical Adviser of Doma United FC Akinade Onigbinde, while lauding his boys for the superlative performance said they would continue to work hard despite climbing to the number two on the chat.
He said, “We are not pressured, we are calm and we are good to go, any team that underrates this team is on their own.
Speaking on the possibility of retaining some of his boys ahead of next season, Onigbinde said, “I believe in my CEO, to retain them if there is going to be little change no problem we wish any body that wants to go good luck but I believe in my CEO, the owner of the club, he will do everything possible to retain the players.”
