Three missing as boat capsize in Taraba

Three Persons have been declared missing on Thursday when a Boat conveying passengers to a local market in Dampar, Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State capsized.
The incident according to an eye witness Johnson Agbu, happened when the boat mistakenly hit a tree under the water.
“Though some passengers have been rescued by the rescue operatives but three are still missing. The rescue operation is still ongoing to get the remaining passengers,” The eye witness narrated.
However, Taraba State Police command through the PPRO, Usman Abdullahi told our correspondent that the command was yet to receive information about the incident.
Meanwhile, the caretaker committee Chairman for Ibi Local Government, Hon Bala Bako confirmed the incident and urged the rescue operatives to work harder to get the remaining three passengers.
