NSCDC deploys 780 personnel for Easter celebration in Gombe
The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Gombe State Command, Achir Abraham, has announced the deployment of 780 personnel for a robust security arrangement and crime prevention before, during and after this year’s Easter celebration.
The Commandant’s directive is for personnel to be emplaced on major roads, patrol teams and surveillance squads to cover critical national assets, worship centres, recreation centres, market places, motor parks, shopping centers and black spots across the State for adequate security of lives and properties.
“The Commandant on behalf of the entire Officers and Men heartily rejoices and felicitates with all Christian faithfuls in the state as they celebrate this year’s Easter,” Abraham said.
He encouraged them to propagate peace, demonstrate love, forgiveness and tolerance irrespective of religious affiliation.
Commandant Abraham also enjoined members of the public to be security conscious and report any strange movement in their environment to security agencies.
