28-year-old man defiles minor in Gombe
….. hoodlums cart away valuables from policeman’s apartment

A 28-year-old Gombe man, identified as Nuhu Ya’u, was on Friday paraded by Gombe State Police command for luring a 13-year-old girl.
Ya’u was alleged to have given the minor an unspecified amount not to disclose the violation.
Parading the suspect, command Public Relations Officer ASP Mahid Abubakar said upon receipt of complaint Pero-Chonge Division Filiya, swung into action, adding that Ya’u was arrested with rag and pant as exhibits.
He said, “On 21st May, 2023 at about 1030hrs in Pero-chonge Division filiya one Abdullahi Ali ‘m’ of Kushi village Shongom LGA, reported that on the same date at about 2130hrs one Nuhu Ya’u ‘m’ aged 28years of the same address went to his house and lured his daughter aged 13years of the same address and took her to her Mother’s room and had canal of her, thereafter gave her money not to speak out, Suspect was arrested by detectives from Pero-chonge Division.”
Abubakar confirmed that the suspect owned up to the crime, adding “Ya’u confessed to the crime and will soon be charged to court for prosecution. A rag and pant were recovered as exhibits.”
Meanwhile, also paraded two suspects namely; Mohammed Salim Tukulma quarters Gombe and Musa Ibrahim for robbing an officer identified as Inspector Stephen Nyior, of Malam inna quarters Gombe, and two others in the same vicinity.
Abubakar said, “Nylor and Patrick Ayim of the same compound at Malam-inna quarters and carted away the following items, One Samsung Plasma TV valued N32,000, Police warrant card, children wears valued N160,000, cash of N56,000 in the house of inspector Stephen Nyior, then they moved to the apartment of Ayim in the same compound and they also carted away his valuable as follows; one official office Laptop of GSU value yet to be ascertained, one S-Sat decoder valued N10,000, children cap N3,000 while all the complainants were away.”
