As part of his robust drive to getting big local and international players involved in charting a new developmental course for Abia state, the Abia Governor-Elect, Dr Alex Otti, has intensified efforts geared towards propelling the kind of economic resurgence that would see the state become a destination point for investors and business men and women.
The governor-elect met with the World Bank Country Director, Professor Shubham Chaudhuri, and his team in Abuja where they had fruitful deliberations on how to partner for the development of Abia.
Armed with rich ideas required to bring the kind of developmental plans and programmes that inspire international partner-agencies and institutions to invest their resources, the renowned economist got his hosts listening with rapt attention as he made his insightful and thought-provoking submissions that centered on good governance and economic development.
Many reputable national and international figures and agencies considered as critical stakeholders in political and economic development, see the Abia governor-elect as a visionary and capable partner whose credibility is viewed as the most reliable collateral.
Conscious of the massive rot and humongous liabilities being left behind by the outgoing PDP government, the renowned economist strongly believes that his government would need to think outside the box and do something beyond the ordinary so as to be able to turn around the fortunes of Ndi Abia for the better.
