Justice Mohammed, speaking during a courtesy call paid on her by the State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Mr Dawut Jidda, said the Scheme has done a lot in the area of Skills Acquisition by exposing Corps members to various set skills for self reliance.

She maintained that Local Government Inspectors have a role to play in identifying Stakeholders in their various Local Government Areas, who are commercial farmers, to train Corps members on animal husbandry and other skills .

According to Mohammed, would help stem the tide of unemployment, thereby reducing the unnecessary expectation on the Government to provide non-existing jobs.

“When Corps members are done with the service year without a job, it causes dejection and pushes them into crimes and other social vices . I feel we all must play our part to make them self-reliant.

“The Scheme as the leading light of youth organisation has done a lot in grooming Nigerian graduates into better citizens ,but , a lot must be done to take our teeming graduates off the streets,” she said
