Chief Judge Of Gombe State lauds NYSC SAED Programme
…..encourages Corps Members on Vocational Skills
The Chief Judge of Gombe State, Honourable Justice Halima Mohammed, has lauded the National Youth Service Corps on equipping Corps members with vocational skills through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme.

Justice Mohammed, speaking during a courtesy call paid on her by the State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Mr Dawut Jidda, said the Scheme has done a lot in the area of Skills Acquisition by exposing Corps members to various set skills for self reliance.
She maintained that Local Government Inspectors have a role to play in identifying Stakeholders in their various Local Government Areas, who are commercial farmers, to train Corps members on animal husbandry and other skills .
According to Mohammed, would help stem the tide of unemployment, thereby reducing the unnecessary expectation on the Government to provide non-existing jobs.
“When Corps members are done with the service year without a job, it causes dejection and pushes them into crimes and other social vices . I feel we all must play our part to make them self-reliant.
“The Scheme as the leading light of youth organisation has done a lot in grooming Nigerian graduates into better citizens ,but , a lot must be done to take our teeming graduates off the streets,” she said
