Dattuwa congratulates Akpabio, Barau on their emergence as President of Senate, Deputy
The Deputy National Financial Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Honourable Dattuwa Ali Kumo, has congratulated Senator Godswill Akpabio, and Barau Jibrin, on their emergence as President and Deputy Senate President respectively of the 10th National Assembly.

Dattuwa urged the new leaders of the Senate to give all the necessary synergy to the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to ensure that the expectations of Nigerians are delivered.
Akpabio polled 63 votes to defeat his rival Senator Abdulaziz Yari, who polled 43 votes in a very contested free, fair and credible election.
Meanwhile, Senator Barau Jibrin was declared unopposed as the Deputy Senate President after the nomination was closed.
Dattuwa appealed to the Akpabio-led senate to have a good synergy with the executives.
According to him, “this is a crucial time in the Nation when the people need a Parliament that will further improve on the legislative accomplishments of the 9th Assembly and work for the people.”
Dattuwa, urged Akpabio and the leadership of the 10th National Assembly to justify the confidence reposed in them, especially at a moment such as this, adding “It will be a very big achievement for the Leadership of the Senate to work hand in hand with the executive which will help in delivering the campaign promises of the President and our party, the All Progressives Congress.”
