The President Evangelical Churches Winning All Reverend Dr Stephen Panya Baba, has performed the installation of the newly elected General Secretary Reverend Ayuba Asheshe and two Trustees, Reverend Michael Adamu( Zone2) and Retired Reverend Dr Isaac B. Laudarji.( Zone 6).
The installation ceremony was performed at the Conference Hall, ECWA International Headquarters, Jos, Plateau State.

During the installation the ECWA President charged them as administrators who have gained the confidence of the people to be elected into the respective positions, that they should justify the divine purpose of their election and the confidence the members reposed in them by leading with the fear of God.
He said the task ahead of them is a huge responsibility therefore they should not be deceived by congratulatory messages that would be coming their way but to solicit for prayers for the grace of them to sustain them through out their tenure.

To the outgoing General Secretary, the President conveyed his congratulations for serving successfully for two terms making up six years in all.
He prayed God Almighty rewards the diligence he excellently displayed while serving in the capacity of General Secretary, with much success in all areas of his endeavours.
The Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau, commended ECWA for having in place robust leadership, policies and programmes that are directly impacting on both spiritual and socio-economic lives of the people.
He was however quick to advise the leadership to reconsider revisiting and resuscitating the dying programmes which had in the past transformed the lives of the generality of the people.
He said, “I bring you greetings and complements from my Governor, the Governor of Gombe state who is not only aware that I am coming here but also approved my attending this program. He has requested me to extend his goodwill to all ECWA family on this occasion of installation of the next ECWA General Secretary and two Trustees.”
Jatau called on ECWA leaders to encourage their members foster unity in the church amongst the different denominations in the spirit of John Chapter seventeen verse twenty- one, which demands all christians to love one another and become one in the spirit just like Jesus and the Father are one.
“I am a Christian without boarders. I have visited over Twenty different denominations in Gombe State. In one of my visits, the Pastor told me that since 1963 when the church was established no one from another denomination has ever visited them. This is not telling well about the unity of the church. I challenge ECWA to foster the unity of the church and ensure that whoever believes in the name of Jesus is caried along,” he said.
On the need to revisit some of the policies and products of ECWA that are moribund he added, “The President of ECWA might recall during the Pastors Conference last year in Karu, Nasarawa State. I made observations concerning the need to revive our schools, clinics, and other Services and products that are either already dead or at the verge of death. I advice you to go and study my suggestions, I have my own thinking about some of these issues. You may call me at any time and I will oblige.”
The Deputy Governor then charged the ECWA executive to make sacrifices to be able to woo the confidence of their membership towards compliance with their policies and programs for efficiency and productivity for the good of the church and humanity.
Delivering the Sermon, a Former General Secretary of ECWA, Reverend Professor Samuel Kunhiyop, delved on the effect of human relationship and administration.
Taking his text from Acts Chapter fifteen verse thirty six to forty one and third John Chapter one verse nine to eleven, the clergy man admonished those in leadership positions especially the incoming General Secretary and the Trustees on the need to imbibe Spirit of humility and accepting, as well as apologizing when at fault, to shun pride and some negative personal inclinations like hot temperament, ethnicity, and looking down on other people’s contributions, etc.
