Egbetokun expresses willingness to chase criminals, devour Nigeria’s internal enemies
The acting Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has expressed optimism to rid the country off criminal activities.
Egbetokun made this disclosure while taking over from his predecessor, Usman Baba Alkali, shortly after he was decorated by the Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The acting IGP explained that he has been reinvigorated to combat crimes, following his recent appointment and decoration as the helmsman of the Nigeria Police Force.
Our correspondent reports that Egbetokun is a Mathematics graduate and has a Masters degree in Engineering.
He has worked across various formations, states, departments and handled criminal cases as a top shot.
“I have just been decorated, and I’m looking forward to taking over tomorrow morning by 11 am. Right now, I feel like a tiger ready to chase away criminals from the country, and at other times, I feel like a lion ready to devour all the internal enemies of Nigeria,” Egbetokun said.
